Biography
Andrew is a modern-day explorer with eyes set firmly on breaking new
ground within the non-profit world, as he's done for more than 20 years.
As the ASI Canada Country Manager, ASI relies on Andrew to continue
forging ahead to further populate the Canadian market with the iMIS solution. The logical choice as he was the
pioneer that led the country's non-profit industry to iMIS in 1993, when he was at the helm of Sentient,
one of ASI's original Authorized Solution Providers.
His entrepreneur spirit became evident while attending Canada's
top-ranked business school, York University's Schulich School of
Business, where he earned a Masters in Business Administration. Chomping
at the bit to apply his wealth of education, Andrew jumped in with both
feet, founding and selling three companies since the mid 80's. Along the
way, he has participated on the Board of Directors for numerous private
companies and non-profit organisations. Over the years, Andrew has kept
one foot firmly entrenched in the academic life, serving as President of
the York University Alumni Association and on the Dean's Advisory
Council for the Faculty of Arts.
In 2003, Andrew's team at Sentient joined forces with ASI and
established Advanced Solutions International in Canada, now part of
ASI's expanding global operations. Currently iMIS is helping more than 150 Canadian non-profits
reach their goals.
"Good causes are driven by good people ... who may or may not
understand how technology can improve their work," said Andrew. "ASI
isn't focused on moving products, we're concerned with keeping good
organisations running smoothly, with more time for good deeds."
