Biography
Mr Mann began his career developing project management software
called Artemis at software company Metier Management Systems. Working
initially for the Mainframe development team, he then moved to the Unix
division and then on to Windows development. In 1993 he led a very
successful seminar in Japan for the company's major customers. Following
the relocation of the company he then left to join Blyth Software,
developers of the Omnis application development system.
In 1995 John joined Caspian, managing the team that successfully
developed and implemented the Caspian suite of CRM software in the UK.
Customers included organisation's client base included many national and
international commercial companies such as Natwest Markets, Goodyear,
Motorola, ScottishPower, Penguin Publishing, Kingspan plc, Newstar and
more.
At Caspian John has championed major innovations in the Caspian
(commercial CRM) product: Caspian eCRM, a browser-based Caspian or "thin
client"; Caspian for Citrix and Terminal Server; Caspian DataPump - an
powerful application which greatly simplifies data migration, imports
and exports and Caspian Components, a COM-based API to allow IT
departments to write their own tools to integrate with Caspian. John is
currently overseeing Caspian for .NET, the next stage in the evolution
of Caspian. As part of the merge with ASI John is also closely involved
with the development and specification of the iMIS product.
John holds a BA in Mathematics from University of Essex.
